Barbara Francoys

Barbara Ann Francoys, age 79, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her brother, John and Peg Francois; sister, Jean (Francoys) and Marvin Poel. Barb was born on January 25, 1937 to Jacob and Jennie (Haveman) Francoys in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dale (Marilyn) Francois, Diane (Tom) Rothenberg-Spence, Dean Francois, Dirk (Linda) Francois, John Poel, Denise (Dave) Boes, Jim Poel; several great nieces and nephews. Barb graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1955 and worked for many years at Christian Schools International in the accounting department. She was a member of Ivanrest Christian Reformed Church and also a long time member of the Metropolitan Choir of Praise (METS). She enjoyed volunteering at Love INC in Grandville. Barb loved to travel, and she especially loved her nieces and nephews and spending time with them.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday 2 pm at Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin St., Jenison. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at Sunset Manor.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Love INC.
