
Audrey Joyce Dupont Underhill, age 85, of Byron Center, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 23, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lloyd and Agnes Dupont-Holtvluwer, mother-in-law, Eva Trela; sisters, Evelyn Jaech, Dorothy (Howard) Zoet, Kathy Dupont, Gail Brougham, daughter-in-law, Susanne Underhill, and baby Denny DuPont. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Richard; children, Leonard (Susan) Underhill, Thomas (Debra) Underhill, Roderick (Kristine) Underhill, Richard (Terri) Underhill, Mary (James) Opaski, Nancy (Jeff) VanHoeven, Matthew (Mary Beth) Underhill, Elizabeth (Michael) Hay, John (Molly) Underhill; 42 grandchildren and near 80 great grandchildren; siblings, Lloyd Dupont, Ron (Franny) Dupont, Larry (Crystal) Dupont, Dwight (Monica) Dupont, Terry (Dee) Dupont; many many nieces, nephews and cousins. Audrey was a warm, caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived to watch her family grow and flourish. She was dedicated to attending her kids and grandkids sporting and school events. Audrey enjoyed tending to her rose bushes, going camping and walking along the beach. She was a great cook and cooked pork and beef roast with mashed potatoes and gravy for the family, providing a true comfort meal. She was a faith-filled woman who attended Eucharistic adoration every Monday at St. John Vianney Church. She was also involved in providing funeral luncheons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 5 - 8 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 4031 Clyde Park SW, and one hour prior to Mass at Church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Railside Assisted Living or Emmanuel Hospice.
