Arthur McCauley, age 85 of Rockford, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, September 24, 2017, surrounded with love by his children and grandchildren. Art was preceded in death by his wife, Angela and his son, Michael. He will be deeply missed by his children, Matthew McCauley, Maria (Todd) Levanduski, Kathy (John) Wirtz, Colleen McCauley; grandchildren, Brooke (Juston) Miller, Erin (Nate) Stollings, Kayleigh VanPeursem, Nick and Megan McCauley, Melissa McCauley, Eric (Erika) McCauley; great-grandchildren, Knoxton and Brogan Miller, Grady Stollings, Alex, Greta, Nolan and Lydia McCauley; sister in law, Brenda (Tim) Harrington; brother in law, John (April) Urycki and his sister Regina Worthington. Arthur was born in LaPorte, Indiana in 1932 to Arthur and Ruth McCauley. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Everyone who knew "Archie" knew of his love for Notre Dame, NY Yankees, Green Bay Packers, Golf, and Budweiser. But what he loved most was his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. He never missed a school program, competition, recital, or a sporting event. He was in every sense the Best Grandpa in the world! A private memorial service was held by the family. In honor of Art, memorial contributions may be made to Lowell Pink Arrow Pride.
