Arthur L. Parps

Arthur L. Parps, age 89, of Grandville, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty; sister, Helen Lemmen, brother Robert “Red” Parps. Arthur will be lovingly remembered by his children, Tymarie and John Boeve, Robin Burd, Tracy and Rich Carlson, Kelly and Chris Bowman, John Parps; grandchildren, Timothy Boeve, Keri Desmarais, Christopher and Liz Parps, Derrick Kolasse, Lucas Parps, Chelsea and Ryan Dornbos, Alex Kolasse, Abbey Bowman, Alan Bowman; six great-grandchildren, Addison and Nylah Boeve, Hayden Desmarais, Paxton and Wyatt Parps, Jillian Dornbos; sister, Donna Lillibridge; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bud and Mary Lothschutz, Bobby Lothschutz; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Arthur worked for Grand Rapids Gravel for 40 years and also did volunteer work for St. Mary’s Hospital for 23 years. He loved John Deere tractors, going to tractor pulls and working in his yard. He was a fan of Michigan football and attended games for 30 years. He also loved going to the races. Most of all he loved his grandchildren dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish with Fr. Stephen Dudek presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
