Arthur E. Gaunt

Arthur E. Gaunt, age 86, of Jenison, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Art was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa that treasured his family. He had a heart for missions and serving others. He volunteered his time at Love INC, went on various mission trips, and gave of his time and talents serving his Lord in various ways at church. He was a Korean War veteran proudly serving his country in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn; his children, Michael and Emely Gaunt, Colleen and Ken Wollenberg, Cheryl and Steve Kilgore, Debra and Ariel Romero, Karel and James Fox; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister, Pat Pinksa; his brother, Don Gaunt; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 3 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Benevolence Fund.
