Arnoldo Cantu Saenz

Arnoldo Cantu Saenz, age 77, of Coopersville, went to be with his lord and savior on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
 

Arnoldo was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, cousin and uncle to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins playing chalupa, watching sports especially the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, win or lose. He loved listening to his Tejano station out of Alice, Texas. Arnold was a great dancer, and loved playing golf.  He served in the US Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran
 

He was preceded in death by his mother Aurora Cantu Saenz, father Andres Vera Saenz, sister Norma Broquet, nephews Fabian Lopez, Antonio Hernandez, and great niece Serina Arizola.
 

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ashley Saenz & Nina (Max) Ramirez; granddaughter, Freedom Bollman; brother, Andes (Irene) Saenz; sister, Aurora Hilda (Oscar) Saenz; nephews, Xavier (Kathy) Garcia, Joe (Brenda) Garcia, Andres (Heidi) Saenz, Arnoldo Saenz, Justin Hernandez & Jeffery Sarabia; nieces, Melissa Garcia, Illiana (Jose) Morales, Lybia Garcia, Nora Saenz, Roxanne Salazar, Jeannine Lopez and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
 

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, August 9  at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, August 9 from 1-2pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. There will be a luncheon after the service at the funeral home.
