Arlene Scripsema

Arlene Scripsema, age 90, of Grandville, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017.  She was a sixth grade teacher in Grand Rapids and Grandville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dan and Linda Scripsema, Diann and Jim Baer; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mike and Morgen Baer (William, Christian), Matt and Kate Baer (Jadyn, Hadley), Chris and Esther Baer, Lauren and Craig Zobec (Jake), Dr. Nicole Scripsema; brother, H. Calvin Redmon; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Len and Lois Scripsema, Roberta Scripsema, Fran Christians.  A memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 2 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. The family will meet with relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1 to 1:45 pm prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Emmanuel Hospice or Sunset Manor.
