Arlene Mae DeBoer, age 89, of Grand Rapids went home to be with her savior on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a servant's heart and always sought to help others before herself. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony DeBoer; infant son, Mark; sisters and brother, Mildred (Frank) Heyboer, Russell (Betty) Vugteveen, Lorraine (Jack) VandenBroek; and brother-in-law, Roger Longfield. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy Januszka, Steven (Susan) DeBoer, Richard DeBoer, Michelle (Bruce) Kuiper; grandchildren, Lisa Boyer, Jason (Amy) DeBoer, Britani (David Schaum) DeBoer, Candice DeBoer, Kaycee (Tyler) Ledeboer, Rachel (Sam) Reid, Maryn Kuiper, Courtney Kuiper; many great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Longfield; brother, Wayne (Linda) Vugteveen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00am at Orchard Hill Church, 1465 Three Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids with Rev. Bruce Kuiper officiating. Burial Rosedale Memorial Park.
