Arlene Avink

Arlene Joyce (McDonald) Avink, age 82, of Grandville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roger; daughter, Marie Avink. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Roger Avink, Ken and Carla Avink, Kathi and Jake Rottier; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Emilee (Jax, Roman), Hannah, Mallory, Todd, Sara and Eric (Holly, Levi, Maddie, and Allison), Amber and Ron (Hunter), Jacob; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Marian Avink; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A private family graveside service will be held at Blendon Township Cemetery with Pastor Dan Wolters officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, 49418. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice or Pine Grove Community Church.
