Annette Vos

Annette Marie Vos was born in Wyoming, Michigan, on June 5, 1927, and went to be with Jesus for eternity on Sunday, January 9, 2022. She was born the oldest of four children to Jacob and Harriet Steenstra. Annette graduated from Calvin College and taught for several years at Hudsonville Christian Schools. She began piano lessons at the age of four years old and later played the organ at church for over 60 years. She also taught piano lessons in her home for many years. Annette and her husband enjoyed traveling their whole lives and also volunteering together with the CRWRC (now World Renew) for disaster relief. She also enjoyed volunteering with Volunteers In Service and Crossroads Prison Ministries. She was blessed with wonderful family relationships. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Marion; great-granddaughter, Qirah Emma Vos; her parents and siblings: Charles (Carolyn) Steenstra, Caroline (Andrew) Wierenga, Earl Steenstra. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: James (Gail) Vos, Thomas (Barbara) Vos, Daniel (Mary) Vos; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Mary Steenstra, Paul (Marilyn) Vos, Harold (Carolyn) Vos; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson SW, Grandville, with Rev. Thomas Vos officiating. (The service will be live streamed at https://www.southgrandvillechurch.org/media.) The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Masks are requested by the family.
