Anna Huisman

Anna Huisman, age 81, of Jenison, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 and is now whole, free from the chains of dementia, and in the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tricia Thomas and son-in-law, Kirt; mother, Marie Bouwsema; father, Willem Bouwsema and her stepmom, Lucy; brother, Bill Bouwsema; and sister, Claire Wilson. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Don; daughter, Lynda (Mike) Vredeveld and her family, Chris (Lauren) Vredeveld and Jayden, Pierce; Kim (Matt) Fox and Hannah, Daniel, Benjamin; Andie (Casey) Schaner and Waylon, Colter. Son, Mike (Chantha) Huisman and his family, Jessica Huisman; Cynthia (Tasker) Merrifield and Sena. Grandson, Justin Huisman and his four children. Son, Tony (Deb) Huisman and their children and grandchildren. Anna’s family would like to thank the staff of Sunset Manor and Spectrum Hospice (Angie, Brian and Holly) for their excellent care of Anna. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 Georgetown Bible Church, 4114 Baldwin St., Hudsonville with Pastor Dick McIntyre officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 10 - 11 am prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation.
