Ann Elizabeth Anklam

Ann Elizabeth Anklam, age 66, of Grandville, formerly of Reese, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur (in 2003); son, Leonard Michael; parents, Ralph and Marjorie Renwick; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil Sr. and Gertrude Anklam, sister-in-law, Janet Parker.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Laura Anklam, Lisa and Scott Elders; granddaughters, Sydney and Hailey Elders; sister, Jane Renwick; brother, Robert and Kathy Renwick; brothers-in-law, Douglas and Linda Anklam, Cecil Anklam Jr., Roger Anklam, Steve Parker; special friend, Kim Higgs; many nieces and nephews.  Ann taught at Vassar Public School for 33 years where she touched many people’s lives.  She was very active in her condo association, Villas at Rivertown.   She loved being outdoors, especially sailing and spending time with family and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 1 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44^th St. SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Karen Niemeyer officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Mausoleum and Cemetery on Thursday at 1 pm, 6476 Midland Rd, Freeland, MI.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and Wednesday from 12-1 pm at church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to ALS Association or the American Lung Association.
