Anita Louise Smith

Anita Louise Smith, age 84, of Wyoming entered into glory on Friday, February 17, 2023. She will be greatly missed by her children: Clayton (Elizabeth) Smith, Jane (Wes) Ackerman; grandchildren: Amber Smith, Dan Chittenden, Rianne Chittenden, Jordan Smith, Collin Smith, Jessalyn Smith; brother, Frank (Rhaelene) DeGraff; chosen sister, Barb Woods; chosen son, Joe (Chantel) Locklear; and countless other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith and her son, Don. Anita was known for her amazing spirit and love for life, family and friends. She loved to shoot, sew and do beadwork. She was famous for her apple crisp and was also known as “the peach candy lady.” Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 19 with luncheon immediately following the service at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Pastor Brian Medaglia officiating. Private Burial will be held at Salem Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
