Angel “Jim” Borges

Angel “Jim” Borges, aged 84 of Grand Rapids, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He is survived by his children, Susan (Benjamin) Weeber, Cynthia Keller, Linda (Ron) Kline; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Anita) Borges, Thomas Borges; and many nieces and nephews. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4362, an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler. A memorial service for Jim will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood with Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Hospice.
