Andrew “Andy” Haan

Andrew “Andy” Haan, age 84, of Grandville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2015. He was born in Winschoten, The Netherlands, the son of the late, Odelia and Anton Haan. The family came to the United States in April of 1956. Andy worked as a painter and wallpaper hanger and was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church in Grandville. He loved dancing and going to the YMCA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Florence Keuning Haan; sister, Minnie Oosterbaan; brother, John “Bart” Haan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Lavon Baird-Haan; children, Annette (Greg) Neumann of Lexington, KY, Ingrid (Scott) Brown of Jenison; grandchildren, Nicole (Justin) Baker, Kelsey Neumann (Bryan Todd), Amanda Brown, Cameron Brown, Aubrey Brown (Dom Tonnarini); great grandchild, Aiden Baker; sister, Hilly (Ed) Horton; brother-in-law, Nick (Renee) Oosterbaan; sister-in-law, Tina Haan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Christian Reformed Church or Railside Assisted Living Center.
