Allison Jacob Sluiter

Sluiter, Allison Jacob SLUITER: Allison Jacob Sluiter, age 87, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 28, 2012.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Cheryl (Dick Carlisle) Hargrove, Nancy and Bob Steinbrecher, Glen Sluiter, Dale and Sheryl Sluiter, Carol Crews, Timothy Sluiter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Nelson Morren, Gert and John Helder, Pearl Diekevers, Marilyn Diekevers; brothers-in-law, Dennis and Dee Diekevers, Rog and Lil Diekevers, John and Delores Diekevers, June and Carol Diekevers; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Maggie Sluiter, his wives, Harriet (Kars) Sluiter (18 years) and Cathy (Diekevers) Sluiter (42 years); sons-in-law, Bill Crews, Sr., Lee Hargrove; brothers, Adolf Sluiter, Adrian Sluiter; great grandchildren, Dennis Battjes, Jr., Cassidy Schuttinga.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with Rev. Nelson Morren officiating.  Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday 3-6 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods.  The family would like to thank the staff at Brookcrest Christian Nursing Home and Faith Hospice Trillium Woods for their wonderful care.
