Allen Heintzelman

Allen “Al” Heintzelman, age 83, of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Al was a kind and fun-loving husband, dad, and grandpa who was blessed with a great sense of humor. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Al was the owner of A & C Heating and Cooling for many years, establishing many friendships with his customers. He and his wife, Carol, volunteered their time at Streetlight Ministries in Grand Rapids and also at their church. Al enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Above all, his love for his family and Jesus was evident to all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Wielenga); children, Scott and Laura Heintzelman, Lucinda Heintzelman, Michelle Heintzelman, Heather Heintzelman, Chad Heintzelman; grandchildren, Owen, and Emmet Heintzelman, Drew, Collin, and Avery Osborn, Carter, and Lily Heintzelman; siblings, Cecil and Marilyn Heintzelman, Bob and Zorine Heintzelman, Judy Bateman, Gary Heintzelman, Jim and Patricia Heintzelman, Tom and Jayne Heintzelman; sister-in-law, Maedy Wielenga; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Samuel Vander Klok officiating. Entombment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Streetlight Ministries or to Bethany Christian Services.
