Albertus Faber

Albertus “Al” Faber, age 89, of Jenison, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 13, 2021. He was born in Vogel Center, MI before moving to Grand Rapids. Al proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked for Zondervan Publishing for over thirty years and also for Koetje Builders, painting and doing other various maintenance items at Chateau Apartments. Over the years, Al had a passion for collecting toy farm tractors which he was proud to show family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia (Baarda) Faber; daughter-in-law, Patricia Faber; and sister, Irene Workman. Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonnie Faber and her family; children, Sharon Ellens, Bruce Faber, Dale Faber, Wayne and Lynda Faber; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Walcott, Lorraine Kuiper, Greta VanderHeide, Betty Ritsema; in-laws, Bob Workman, Thelma and Al Carr, Al Kamminga; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood, Jenison with Pastor Austin Vondracek officiating. Burial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 12-1 pm at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation.
