Alan Quang Tran

Alan Quang Tran, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at the age of nineteen. He is survived by his parents, Ivan Tri Tran and Doan Dang; his sister, Trina Tran and his brothers, Alexander Tran and Andres Tran; his grandparents, Ninh Dang, Thu Nguyen, and Tran Dinh; and his extended family including Phillip and KimOanh Nguyen and their children, KimAnh, Vinh, and KimVy, Thuan Dang and her son Nate, Doug and Emily Dang and their son Gardner, and Thong Nguyen and Tam Tran and their children Nguyen Nguyen and Phuoc Nguyen, along with his girlfriend Aldina Valjevac and his cat Apollo.

Alan was predeceased by his eldest brother, Tin Tran and grandfather, Trung Tran. Alan will be remembered for the selfless love he showed towards his family, girlfriend, and friends and his passion for cars which brought him, his brothers, and his friends together. He loved to take on challenges, from Rubik’s Cubes to modifying cars, and that led him to have graduated from GRCC as an automotive technician with future plans of going back to school for software engineering. All who knew Alan appreciated his thoughtfulness, silliness, loyalty, intelligence, and ability to make you smile. He loved without reserve and never hesitated to help, and though we are deeply saddened by his passing, he will live forever in the memories we keep.

All services will be held at MKD Funeral Home located at 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood 49508. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 25th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm and the service will be on Monday, June 26th at 10:00 am followed by a procession to Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
