Adele L. Postma

Adele Lois Postma, age 92, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Hartgerink, and sister Elaine Lenters. Adele will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Dr. Howard Postma; three children, Robert Postma, Thomas and Pat Postma, Lori Postma; grandchildren, John and Melissa (Jimmy) Strang, Scott, Nicholas, Derek, Grant, Madison Postma, and Damonta Madden; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and extended family and friends. Adele maintained a strong bond with a group of women that she has been close with since her time at Calvin College. She enjoyed traveling and loved raising her three children. She enjoyed her summers at Silver Lake in Rockford. Adele had a quiet strength and demeanor, strong resolve and discipline. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8 at 2pm at Centre Place Breton Terrace, 2500 Breton Woods Dr SE, Grand Rapids, 49512 with Rev. Frank Guter officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday, June 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Calvin College or Faith Hospice.
