Jessica Janine Simpson

Jessica Janine Simpson, age 29, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joshua Pomeroy; daughter, Zaya Janine Simpson; parents, James Simpson, Janine Simpson; parents-in-law, Jeffrey Pomeroy and Valerie Pomeroy; grandmothers, Marilyn Keagle, Phyllis Bennett; aunts: Carol (Gene) Terlisner, Patricia (Jordy) Neira, Elaine Fifelski, Linda (Lance) Wissman, Pamela (Chuck) Hoffman, Carie Thompson; uncles: A. Terry Fifelski, Gary (Suzie) Fifelski; sister-in-law, Courtney Pomeroy; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister, Anastasia J. Simpson and grandparents, Anthony and Ann Fifelski, Harry Simpson, Jean Simpson; uncle, Robert Fifelski. Jessica loved life and her husband and daughter were the most important people in her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Peter Vu officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church.

I haven't known Jessica long but long enough to really enjoy her friendship and how much she was there for me during a rough time in my life, she made me smile and laugh and feel so much better. We both struggled with the same issues. I admired how much she loved her family also,especially her daughter and husband. She was definitely one of a kind. She will be missed . Praying for her whole family.

Jeassica was a GREAT person who had a WONDERFUL spirit and an AMAZING soul! She will be missed by SO many!
