Hilda J. Vander Wal

Hilda J. Vander Wal, age 86, of Allendale passed away and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James; son, Roger; siblings, Albert Eisen, Harold Eisen, Casper Eisen, Rose Vander Meulen. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gary (Deb) Vander Wal, Kenneth (Deanna) Vander Wal, Randall (Sherri) Vander Wal, Dennis (Laura) Vander Wal, Douglas (Rosemary) Vander Wal, Calvin (Lilia) Vander Wal, Kurtis (Jill) Vander Wal; 23 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Martin Vander Muelen; sister-in-law, Mildred Eisen; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was very devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was always giving of her time and love and Grandma’s house was the place to stop for a delicious bite to eat. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale), 6651 Scott Street, with Rev. Bruce Persenaire officiating. Inurnment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, October 28, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School.
