Bertha Damstra

Bertha Damstra, age 89, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her infant son; her daughter, Marlene Brink; her granddaughter, Michelle Harkema; and all of her 12 siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tom and Linda Damstra, Ruth Damstra, Sue and Steve DeJonge; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood) 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Rev. Will Hensen officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 7 - 9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.

so very sorry to learn of Aunt Bertha's passing.. Marian and I thought of her often, and she was a special lady for sure. I am sure Marian was there and one of the first to greet her in Heaven.. Probably having coffee and a windmilll cookie or two as we speak. Blessings to you all

One very precious lady!! So very thankful for the times she was in Iowa and will treasure the photo of her in the soybean field being combined here in Iowa. Our prayers and sympathy to all. John and Bertha Roede have all their children back together. God Bless!
