Paul Edward Parlow moved to his new home on Thursday, January 21, 2016. He started his journey on March 18, 1936 in Fremont, Ohio, the son of John Frederick Parlow and Ethel Permilla Rimelspach. He was the last of six children, all of whom have preceded him to the Father’s house, as have his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carole Dolores (Schluer), who he married on February 6, 1961, and three children and their spouses, Jonathan David (Sara), Peter Michael (Kathleen), and Heidi Jean Pamerleau (George). He has 6 grandchildren, Vielka Jean, Sonia Marisa, Nathan Peter-Mckenzie, Noah Kei, Erin Marie and Olivia Rene. Paul attended Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, Ohio, Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He served congregations in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan, Tennessee and Ohio. Paul was also active in the alcohol and drug treatment field and served as a chaplain in the Michigan Army National Guard, finishing that career as State Chaplain. Paul has dedicated his life to the service of others, and will certainly be missed by all he has touched. A Memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm. The service will be held at Bread of Life Lutheran Church in Hudsonville, Michigan. Memorial contributions are suggested to any of the churches that Paul has served or attended, the Smile Train or Camp Sunshine – Holland Michigan.
