Timothy A. Sturgeon, age 54, of Hudsonville, entered into the presence of his Savior on Sunday, November 22, 2020, after an 8-month battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Sturgeon; and his mother-in-law, Barbara Grubbs. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Kimberly Sturgeon; children, Joshua and Rebecca Sturgeon (granddaughters, Molly and Ezri), Drew and Tiffany Sturgeon, Caleb and Nicole Sturgeon, Evan Sturgeon and his girlfriend, Andrea Lowing, Kujtim Sturgeon; mother, Marguerite Sturgeon; brother, Thomas and Shelly Sturgeon; father-in-law, Philip and Becky Grubbs; brother-in-law, Jason and Beverly Grubbs; nephews, Zac and Jessica Sturgeon, Clay Sturgeon. Tim’s faith in Christ was central in his life and was unwavering even as he battled with his illness. He cared deeply for his family and would use ordinary daily moments as teachable opportunities for his sons. Tim was a dedicated employee at Meijer for 37 years, continuing to work despite his illness. The family will be celebrating Tim’s life with a private graveside service at Georgetown Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Services to support their work with adoption and family preservation (bethany.org/get-involved/donate).

Kim and Family,
You have battled this dread disease for many months. But Tim is no longer in pain--he is with His Saviour! Wonderful for Tim, sad for those who remain and miss him so much. We have been praying these past months for healing--Tim is healed! I could not have asked for a better husband for my daughter. Tim was an amazing man. His life was a sacrifice for his family and many others. He was an immense help to Becky & I over the years. He will be greatly missed but we're rejoicing that he is with his Savior and no longer suffering. "Absent from the Body present with the Lord".

Tim was an awesome man and I'm going to greatly miss lunches with him. We used to eat and wander the repo lot in the hour we got for lunch (or less if it was getting near financial "year end" at work). Work always came first before lunch for Tim. I'm sure Meijer finance department will greatly miss his skills. We spoke often of our families and I know he greatly loved his. He was so proud of all his sons. I was sorry to hear the news of Tim's passing. I was not aware of his battle. I worked with Tim for my 36 years at Meijer and he came to be one of my favorites. I will miss hearing his voice and his laugh and seeing his smile. He was a great guy. Always so nice. Prayers to his family.
