Thomas R. O’Hearn

Thomas R. O’Hearn, age 83 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Charlotte O’Hearn; brothers, John O’Hearn and Eugene O’Hearn. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen; children, Amy and John DeGraaf, Todd and Connie O’Hearn, and Kelly Finnegan; grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Derek, Christian, Karley, Jack; siblings Geraldine Newby, Terry and Dorothy O’Hearn, Carole and Frank Gunckel, Sue  and Robert Makowski, and Steven O’Hearn. Tom retired in 2001 from Spectrum Industries as a truck driver. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1954-1958 as a Seaman. He was a loving and caring husband and father. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
