Sandra L. Bruegeman, age 64, of Allendale, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Arlene Schut. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 31 years, Reg; children, Chris (Shelly) Schuknecht, Rhonda Hoppa, and Jennifer Bruegeman; grandchildren, Corbin, Kolbe, Emma, Kaden, and Kyrah; brothers, Randy (Betty) Schut, Mike (Maggie) Schut; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Sandy was a loving, caring, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind hearted person who enjoyed helping others. She took great pride in the work that she did for Mike Schaap Builders as a cabinet finisher. She enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding with Reg and the family. Sandy enjoyed spending time in the outdoors gardening and then canning the fruits of her labor. Sandy was a faith filled woman who had a servant’s heart and worked tirelessly to pass on her faith in her God and Saviour. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019, 2:30 pm at Lighthouse Community Church, 7624 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Pastor Steve Demers officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1:00 - 2:15 pm at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the privilege of being Sandra’s cousin and knowing her as a child. I have many fun memories of Christmas parties, family reunions and just visiting. My deepest sympathy to the family on your loss.

We are so saddened and shocked on the passing of our dear friend/relative Sandy. I know she is in a better place but we are sure going to miss her, her beautiful smile and her wonderful laughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra’s family. Words can not express how sad and devastated we are with Sandra’s passing.
She was loved, and will be missed .
So thankful God daw fit to bring our paths to cross. She touched my life in such a unique way. Loved when we got our tattoos together for our special friend to show solitary for our friend who battled cancer, and we rejoiced when our friend was deemed cancer free.
One of the most precious conversations happened on Tuesday just 2 days before her passing when we talked about what heaven was going to be like, not knowing that just 2 days later she would be called home.

I had the privilege of meeting your mom about 5 years ago. She became such a treasured friend. We enjoyed laughing together and she was such an encourager. Over the past few months she has been such a strength and comfort to me in the cancer diagnosis and death of my only brother. We were able to talk and hug on Saturday and chat on Mon and Tues. I am still in shock. Please know I will be lifting you before God's throne. I will forever be grateful for the blessing your mom/wife was in my life. Love you, Sandy! Forever.
