Ronald E. Champion

Ronald E. Champion, age 84, of Byron Center, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Joann; granddaughters, Elizabeth Kline, Faith Kline, and Melissa Konwinski.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Marlene and Robert Anderson, Cindi and Ron Czarnecki, Sharon Salamone, Gaylynn and Bernie Kline, Scott and Deb Konwinski, Steve and Linda Champion, Lisa Herrygers, Ron and Linda Champion; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one sister.  Ron proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army.  He retired from General Motors after 37 years.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Patrick Gill officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Right to Life.
