Robert Andrew Long

Robert Andrew Long, age 72, of Caledonia passed from this earthly life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Long; son, Michael Long. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michelle (Brian) Austin, Heather (Mark) Fausnaugh, Leslie Cox, John Long, Shawna Long, Heather (Kelvin) Gill, Nadiene Long; 26 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many cousins and dear friends. Bob was a warm, kind, loving father and grandfather. He was loved by everyone that knew him and he was always willing to help friends and family. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things around the house and loved working on cars. Bob was an IT Network Engineer with a big heart, adopting all eight of his children. He had a love of travel, Walt Disney, Harry Potter and Garfield. He enjoyed watching the crime channel and reading autobiographies and science fiction. His biggest joy in life was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and neighbors may meet the family on Wednesday, April 7 from 5 - 8 PM at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Dave Thomas Foundation.
