Lois “Loie” Smith

Lois “Loie” Smith, age 77, of Caledonia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Smith.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Abbie (Douglas) Cutler, Dave (Heather) Smith;  grandchildren, Nathan (Meghan) Stauffer, Nicole (Nick) Mena, Courtney (Brett) Smith, Justin Cutler, Kendra (Devin) Longoria, Zachary Cutler, Luke Smith; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy VanderArk; sister-in-law, Donna Smith; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Loie will be remembered for her servant’s heart and listening ear.  Due to Covid-19, please wear a mask, social distancing will be practiced, overflow seating will be provided in the gym.  The service will also be livestreamed on the St. Paul’s Facebook page and FM broadcasted on 89.9 for those comfortable listening to the funeral in the parking lot of the church.  Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, May 22 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8436 Kraft, Caledonia, with Rev. Timothy Brand and Rev. David Miller officiating.  Burial Holy Corners Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, May 21 from 4-7 pm at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Kid’s Hope USA or LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League).
