Kay Irene Miller, born June 30, 1935, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Sunday, August 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Max; son, Timothy; and granddaughter, Hydie. Born in Lansing and raised in Coral, Kay was the last survivor of 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Alan (Donna) of Lowell, Max (Karen) of Grandville, Sharon (Scott) Blattner of Grandville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her dear nephews, Robert (Laura) Cairns and Gary (Jeannie) Sunderlin. Kay was an avid reader and enjoyed making meals and treats from scratch. Her homemade noodles were like a spoonful of heaven! She could always be counted on to help others in need, whether caring for them in sickness or bringing meals to families at church. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-3 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Free Bed Pediatric Program.
