Joyce Ann Hamilton

On March 21, 2019 heaven gained a precious angel, Joyce Ann Hamilton, age 75 of Grand Rapids.  Joyce went to meet Jesus and be reunited with her father, Otto William Hey and brother, Otto Dale Hey.  Those who will miss and cherish her most are her mother, Vivian Hey; husband, Richard; children, Lorri and Tim Ratliff, Chuck and Janet Hamilton, Craig and Melissa Hamilton, and Troy Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Hadley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Joyce was a self-sacrificing, devoted, wife, mother and grandmother who was born with a servant’s heart. She was considered an awesome grandma, not only by her own grandchildren but by the many others who loved her. Joyce was a faithful servant of the Lord whether that was helping in the nursery, volunteering in Awana or playing the organ for her church family.  She loved being surrounded by her family and friends and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, theater performances, and concerts. Her sweet baked goods and joyful spirit will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2050 Aberdeen St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Brett Boomsma officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5 - 8 pm at the church, as well as on Tuesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
