James “Jim” Lewis

James “Jim” Lewis, age 71, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine Lewis, Robert Lewis; sister, Colleen DeBack; brother, Lyman Lewis; brother-in-law and best friend, Jimmy Maddox. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Joyce (Maddox) Lewis; children, Kelly Lewis, Mike (Laura) Lewis, Becky (Joe) Steffes; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Judy Peterman, Bev (Bob) Stevens, Bob (Patti) Lewis, Craig (Peggy) Lewis, Lori Drier, Bruce Lewis; sister-in-law, Charlotte Maddox; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan.
