Ernest (Ernie) N. Bagge, age 77, of Jenison, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Betty Bagge; and grandparents, Neville and Lealah Moore. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Sally; children, Monni and Ben Holtrop, Christopher and Janelle Bagge, Tim and Andreya Bagge, James Bagge and fiancee Kathy, Kimberly and Brian Newenhouse; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dawn and Tom Wildeboer, Gayle Zimonick; brother, Gene and Kathy Bagge; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Palma Schafer, Sue and Steve Davis, Nancy and Gary Rookus, Mike and Diane Schafer; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was an auto body shop manager for 35 years, enjoyed going on cruises, singing karaoke, and visiting casinos. Ernie served in the National Guard for 7 years and was a member of American Legion Post 179 for many years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Chaplain Caleb Walcott officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Going to miss seeing Ern at 2:00 in the morning getting a coffee when I’m leaving for plowing.
