Edward Rozeveld, age 91, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 5, 2019, and is now home with his Lord and Savior. He was born and raised in Missaukee County, Michigan, until moving to Grand Rapids. Ed was later drafted into the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country. He worked at Dexter Lock for 34 years and retired from Springbrook Irrigation after many years of dedicated service. Ed was a lifetime member of 12th Avenue Christian Reformed Church where he served his Lord as elder and deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Rozeveld; and his sister, Trena Davis. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Esther (Veltema) Rozeveld; children, Mary and Gord Walcott, Carol and Ron Nyhoff, Ross and Liz Rozeveld; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Julie and Al Baylor (Lupe, Seth, and Selah), Tara and Jeff Pavlovic (Hayden, Brecken), Kyle and Colleen Walcott (Nora), Holly and Jeff Twiest (Evelyn, Esther, Madison), Brad Nyhoff and fiancée, Nikki Koetje, Tyler Rozeveld, Tate Rozeveld, and Chase Rozeveld; sister, Lauradean Beerens; brothers, John and Millie Rozeveld, Harold and Ruth Rozeveld, Rog and Eleanor Rozeveld; brother-in-law, Stan Veltema; sister-in-law, Em Veltema; several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Don Van Slyke and Rev. James Evenhouse officiating. Interment will be held at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School or Right to Life of Michigan.
