David Barnes Bundick, age 77, of Jenison, went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Dave was born September 28, 1942 in Washington D.C.; and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for six years and served in Vietnam the last year of his enlistment. Following his service in 1967, he was hired at Lear Siegler (Smiths Industries) and retired in 1993. Shortly after his retirement from Smiths, Dave was hired during Siemens Dematic and retired after 10 years. Anxious to try something new, Dave obtained his realtor’s license and worked for Five Star Realty until his diagnosis with dementia in 2015. Dave was very involved with the Community of Christ Church in Grandville, serving as elder for 29 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Bundick and James Bundick. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Robin; children, Karen and Chad Crook, Don and Kristen Galloway, Tom and Ellen Galloway; step-daughter, Lisa and Ronald Mier; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert and Tana Galloway; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie Bundick, Glenda Bundick, Karen Stewart, William Knott; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr SW. Relative and friends will meet the family from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Fort Custer Cemetery.
