Daniel Schneider

Daniel Schneider, age 71, of Wayland, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 11, 2016 after a three year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Barbara Schneider.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Debb; his children, Joe and Kim Carter, Danielle and Gerry Ball, Michelle and Dave VerMerris; stepchildren, Courtney and Daniel Hernandez, Nathaniel Chapton, Whitney Chapton, Elizabeth Tusing; 12 grandchildren; sisters and brother, Sharon and Tom Boynton, Chip and Elaine Schneider, Pamela and Dan Keeney.  Dan received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal while proudly serving in the U.S. Navy.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-3 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.  The family invites you to join them for a time of food and fellowship immediately following the service in the Memories Room next door to the funeral home.
