Barbara Jean Stuive, age 78, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Barb loved her family and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events as often as possible.  She also enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months.  Barb was a longtime member of Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jannes “Joe” Stuive; sister, Deb Roedema, brothers-in-law, and sister-in-law, Betty and Bill Darling, Jim Carlon.  Barb is lovingly remembered by her children, Scott and Barb Stuive, Todd and Kathy Stuive, Eric and Jessica Stuive, Timothy and Alissa Stuive; grandchildren, Mitchell and Kendra Stuive, Tara and Adam VanDis, Cody and Kristi Stuive, Colten Stuive, Josh Stuive, Cameron and Kristin Stuive, Megan and Ryan Ricketson, Ashley and Nate Palace; Alexander, Elijah, Malachi, and Samuel Stuive, Nathan, Ella, Sawyer, and Brody Stuive; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Abigail, and Brielle Stuive; Connor, William, and Annalise VanDis; Carter, Cayden Stuive; sister, Pat Carlon; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Karren DeYoung; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Mary Roedema, Joyce and Dean Lattman, Gert and John Dykema, John and Carol Stuive, Jack and Sue Stuive; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 11 am at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave., Hudsonville, (use door A for service) with Rev. Len Kuyvenhoven officiating.  Interment to be held at Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, June 28 from 4-6 and 7-9 pm at Fellowship Reformed Church (use door D for visitation).  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Crossroads Prison Ministries, where she volunteered for many years.
