Willow Rae Geenen

Willow Rae Geenen, age 6, of Hudsonville, was called home to Jesus on Monday August 13, 2018, and is now singing and dancing in heaven. Even though her life on earth was short, her memory will be cherished for a lifetime. She recently completed Kindergarten at  Hudsonville Christian School. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Hoekstra; her great-grandparents, Richard and Sylvia Geenen, Konrad and Jeanne Marcus, Arthur Hoekstra; her aunt, Rachel Geenen. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Jonathan and Megan Geenen; sisters, Rowan, and Elm; grandparents, Richard and Marcia Geenen, Patricia Hoekstra; great-grandparents, Edwin and Joan Brower, Janet Hoekstra, Marilyn Marcus;  aunts and uncles, Jordan and Kara Banta (Riggston, Elias), Trisha and Erron Peuse (Eagan, Charlotte, Oliver, Ezekial), Audra and Jason Nelson (Christian, Lennyn), Katelyn and Nicholas Lenger (Dashiell, Mabel, Rockwell, Woodrow),  her “adopted” family, Justin and Varee Rodriguez (Layla, Rachael). A celebration of Willow’s life will be held Friday 11 am at Fairhaven Church, 2900 Baldwin, Hudsonville.  Interment Georgetown Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6:30-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cure SMA  or to Hudsonville Christian School for a friendship bench to be placed in Willow’s memory.
