  4. Mike was one of the best men I have ever met in my entire life. He was many things: colleague, a friend, someone who taught me more about life and experience, someone who had the heart of gold and a work ethic that was unparalleled. I recently purchased a home towards the end of 2018, and Mike offered so much knowledge, which to me, as a new home owner, having him and his advice was invaluable. My vehicle has tires that sometimes go flat, one of the last things Mike did was give me an air compressor. Just the little things that he always would do for anyone, are what made Mike, Mike. I know he would have given the shirt off of his own back to anyone in need. In many ways you were like a father figure to me, and certainly a loved member of our entire team. You will be dearly missed, rest in the peace that you so truly deserve. We love you, Mike VantHof.

  5. I’ve been married to Mike for going on 24 years but it seems like a lifetime. We had the most wonderful life together. He treated me with the upmost respect always and always tried to take care of me and the rest of his family and friends. I know I will love him for the rest of my life. He was a beautiful man deep down in his heart and soul. Respected by many. I love you “my Mike”. You were the dearest thing in my life along with our kids.

    - Ginny VantHof
  6. Mike was my dad. He entered my life in my teens. Never once did I feel like the step child. He taught my to dive in the snow in a 2 wheel drive ford ranger. Taught me to work on cars and maintenance in homes. Most of all he taught me unconditional love. He treated my mother like gold. She was his who world. He never wanted to be without her. I always knew she was safe with him. His grandson Kaleb thought papa was the best. It was fun for him to see papa play ball in the back yard and get balls stuck in the trees. Which happened a few times. Kaleb always stole papa’s cookies. He always loved to give Kaleb a hard time about it for fun. He treated my husband like a buddy and not an enemy, like must in laws do. He loved so deeply and gave so offen. He will be miss so much…. no words can ever explain this unexpected loss.

  8. I met Mike a couple of years ago at his job, he was always kind and considerate of others and a hard worker. He had a genuine concern for others. He will be missed.

  9. I only talked to Mike once, when I left my keys inside my house and I was locked out of the building, with my little children inside alone.
Mike always smiled at me when he see me around the apartments, but that time he can see my worry face and he didn’t smile me, he just ask straight what was happening. When I told him that my kids were alone and lock up, he just follow me as fast as we can to help me.
He was the kind of man I’d wish met and know before, for a long time; sadly I didn’t, but I’ll remember him as the really good man he sure was.
