Suzanne Kennedy Barresi

Suzanne Marie Kennedy Barresi (Ames), age 66, of Wyoming, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Yvonne Kennedy, and her beloved dog, Bubba. Suzanne was a loving Mom, Nana, and Sister who  cherished her family and always put others before herself. She worked as a welder for GM Fisher Body, retiring after 26 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. Suzanne loved going to her trailer by the lake, where it gave her great peace and joy. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Derek and Teresa Barresi, Lindsay and Jeremy Neibarger, Desirae Barresi and Shawn Katip; her grandchildren, Brandi and Logan, Alexis and Bo, Bailey, Kaylyn, and Kara; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Chuck Kennedy, Deb and Rick Hollis, Tami and Rodney Keith, Anjanette and Rick Besemer; her loving dogs, known as “the boys”, Marley, Maxwell, and Maverick. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Humane Society of West Michigan. 

 

  1. We met Sue at Nature chain of lakes camp ground over 10 years ago. And since then she has been a dear friend to our family. She will be greatly missed by all of our camping family.Sue was a wonderful person, brave, independent, caring, and funny!! She will always be remembered as “grandma Sue”. God speed🙏🏻❤️

  2. My heart stopped when I found out. I hope you all know how much I truly loved that bull headed women. For years and years we were always together. She was a funny and so caring. I have so many crazy memories of all of us. Just know I truly tryed to teach out to her. I will love her always. Rest in Pease my friend!!!
