Retha Joan VanWieren, age 91, of Grandville, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2019. Known as “Aunt Retha” to all who knew her, she will be lovingly remembered by her brother, George and Shirley VanWieren; a passel of very special nieces and nephews, Marv and Beth Burger, Jack and Sue Palma, Cheryl and Ray Bell, Linda and Tim Hoffman, Janice and Mac Beatson, Lori DeMars, Diane and Darrell Goddard, Doris and John Pace, Jeannie and Terry Schaaf,  Victor Van Wieren, David Van Wieren, Bruce and Robin Van Wieren, Donald and Jeanne Van Wieren, James and Judy Van Wieren, Jack and Barbra Baughan, Eugene and Philis Baughan, Betty and Tony Gage, Ronald and Teena Van Wieren Shawn Van Wieren, Vicki Ritkowski, plus some very special grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  According to her wishes, no services will be held and she will be laid to rest in McBain Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Reitha. We used to live in the same building as her and she was the sweetest lady I know. She lived and cherished all her niece’s and nephews as she talked about them often. She sure did love everybody as she had the biggest heart and didn’t like to be a burden on anybody. So thankful I got to meet her and have a few memories of her.
