Mary Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Domina entered into eternal peace on Sunday, October 13, 2019.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; father, Ed Fitzgerald; mother, Marie Anderson; and brothers, Gordon and Robert Fitzgerald. Mary is survived by her daughter, Shelley (Hilliker); her son, Bryant; grandchildren, Lindsey (Cliff) Bolhouse, Jordan Worpel, Caleb (Rebecca) Worpel, David, and Breanna Domina; great-grandchildren, Carter and Claire Bolhouse; stepbrother, Bill Anderson; and stepsister, Judy Plica. Mary will be missed by her family and friends and the special family that she enjoyed at the Laurels of Hudsonville in her later years. Mary had a sweet spirit, a quick wit, and a genuine concern for others.  Mary held special memories of her youth in Grand Haven with her family, her special group of close friends, her home on Eastlane, and the special connection she had with Park Congregational Church. Mary’s greatest source of pride, however, was her family, and the beautiful grandchildren she was blessed with were her greatest joy. Mary can now rest in peace and be reunited with her family and friends who have passed before her. As sorry as we are to see her go, we are happy to know that she is home. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Laurels of Hudsonville for the outstanding care and kindness that was shown to both Ralph and Mary in the time they spent there.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A private memorial service and burial will follow at Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s name to the Laurels of Hudsonville - Activities Fund (3650 Van Buren St., Hudsonville, MI 49426).

Shelley and Bryant, we are so thankful for Mary’s walk with Christ and that she is “home.” The love you showed to your mom helped her have joy in her final years. May you gather strength from the love of those around you.
