Marcia F. Barnes

Marcia Faye Barnes, age 80, of Grant, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Cindy Vodry; daughter in law, Lorie Barnes; brothers, John, Joe; sisters, Bernadine, Bernie, Kay, Grace, Harriet, Barb. Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jeff and Kim Barnes, George and Cindy Barnes, Mark and Diane Barnes, Linda Haynes, Laura and Eric Crandle, Scott and Gretchen Barnes; son-in- law, Dave Vodry; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Shelby Gemmen officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.

First met Marcia at the cottage on Long Lake. She was quiet and soft spoken, but when she made a comment about a certain activity Elaine and I could do in our boat, I knew she had a great sence of humor. Elaine called her a very sweet lady. She will be missed.
