Joseph Carl Orosz

Joseph Carl Orosz, age 89, of Kentwood, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy; his parents, Joseph Sr. and Adeline Orosz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Sherry Wilson, Dixie and Bill Augustine. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stephen and Linda Orosz, Timothy and Becky Orosz; grandchildren, Natalie and Joshua Bennett, Nicolette Orosz, Stacy and Michael Davis, and Joseph Orosz; great granddaughter, Alyssa Orosz; sister-in-law, June and Jack Bowman; his aunt, Theresa (and the late John) Myers; several nieces and nephews. Joe served his country in the National Guard and worked for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad for 38 years.  He enjoyed nature and spending time at Big Star Lake. A graveside service (in the cemetery chapel) will be held Friday, October 26, 2018, 11 A.M. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (2894 Patterson Rd. SE, Grand Rapids) with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
