Herbert M. Marsman, age 84, of Jenison, formerly of Grandville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, whom he loved and served so faithfully, on Thursday, February 21, 2019. He worked in the tool and die industry for 44 years and retired from Ranger Die Inc. Herbert loved fishing, hunting, taxidermy and wood carving. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Elaine; children, Doug and Ann Marsman, Dan and Cindy Marsman, Steve and Faith Marsman, Kevin and Teri Marsman; grandchildren, Scott and Laura Marsman, Jeremy and Marilee Marsman, Andrew and Chrissy Marsman, Christopher and Kathryn Marsman, Natalie and Clay Eshman, Jordan and Erin Marsman, Jennifer and Thom Zietkiewicz, Kyle Marsman; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Don Marsman, Maynard Marsman; sister, Diane and Bob Westra; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeanne Marsman, George and Jean Bloem, Carol Cooper; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson Avenue SW, with Dr. Daniel Mouw officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family 3-6 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, and Monday at the church from 10-10:45 prior to the service. The family would like to thank The Garden staff at Brookcrest Nursing Home for the loving care Herb received over the last year. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation Benevolence Fund or South Grandville CRC World Mission Fund.
