To Cindy, Edgar, and all Greg's family Greg was a co-worker who always had a listening ear and a smile. I worked with him daily for the years when I was in Wyoming, but also saw him monthly since then at union meetings. Greg could always be counted on to help any carrier who needed it, even protecting our jobs and livelihoods. He helped me and so many others establish ourselves in a postal career that would support our families and enrich our communities. And all of this, he accomplished every day with a smile. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaged--that was our Greg. We will miss him every day. My deepest sympathies are with you.

This is Cindy Wieck, My husband, Greg Wieck is the love of my life and always will be. We raised two wonderful children and watched them grow to become men. They brought into our family wonderful wives. Our grand children are our world which includes grand dogs and a great grand dog. Greg’s open warm personality was his gift and what I loved about him the most. I miss him! God received the best gift ever. I love you Greg!!

Dear Wieck family, We are very sorry for your loss. I worked with Greg for 22 years and had lunch with him for 15 of that. His kindness and sense of humor will be sorely missed. He was part of our group that would go to a Tigers game every year and it won't be the same without him. He was also my mailman and will be deeply missed by Mary and I both.

We are so sorry for you having to live with out Greg by your side. He was our mailman too. Sometimes we probably talked to much but he always had some story or comment of the news and I found out what was going on in the neighborhood. He also told me how the lawn was Cindy's fun like me, So when you are out having fun again remember he talked about you to and the work you do. He loved you and I pray you are comforted by knowing our whole neighborhood is going to miss him too. Love Pat and son Danny Bloomer

Greg will always be remembered in our family. He was so special to my daughters and greeted them by name every time he delivered mail to our house. They would hear the mail truck and go running outside to get the mail and say 'hi!'. I'm struggling to find the words to capture just how much his kindness meant to our family. He was a true ray of sunshine and we will miss him so much. Greg is an amazing example of how small kind gestures are so important in this world!

Heaven has gained a new angel. Greg was a great person and NALC Branch 56 Union member. He worked hard for the membership and deserves more recognition than this space will allow. R.I.P. my friend your smile and sense of humor will definitely be missed.

Dear Wieck family, We are so sad to hear about the loss of Greg. May you find comfort in knowing that his smile and kindness brought much joy to so many people. We will miss his genuine kindness and our inside joke about thin mints. We looked forward to getting our mail each day. Even if it was just a wave and a smile or a short chat, he always brightened up our day! We hope and pray that you will be comforted by your memories of Greg.
