Gordon Glenn Plaggemars

Gordon Glenn Plaggemars, age 82, of Wyoming went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and worked for 31 years at General Motors. Gordon was an elder for many years at Hope Reformed Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irene Plaggemars; sister-in-law, Hermina Plaggemars. Gordon will be remembered by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ruth (Van Farowe) Plaggemars; his dearly loved children, Thomas (Sherry) Plaggemars, Kathleen (Mark) Buis, Kristen (Cory) Hoezee; grandchildren, Brad, Kara Plaggemars, Taylor, Morgan, Nathan, Shelby Buis, Mitchell, Ana and Maria Hoezee; brothers, Robert, Harvey (Elaine), Earl (Lin); many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, at First Reformed Church, 3060 Wilson Avenue SW, Grandville, with Rev. Tom Dekker officiating. Interment Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, February 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Words of Hope, Our Daily Bread or a charity of one’s choice.
