Dorothy Holtrop

Dorothy Marie (Westveer) Holtrop, age 87, of Jenison, is now face to face with Christ her Savior.  She passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2019.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of almost 52 years, Ralph; one sister and four brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren: Sandi and Robert Van Manen (Andrew and Ashley Van Manen, Rachel and Brent Bomers, Steven and Amanda Van Manen, Tim and Taylor Van Manen), Dave and Judy Holtrop (Joe and Shannon Holtrop, Kim and Derek VanDam, Kendra and Tyler Lameyer), Sheri and Vern Faber; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Shirley Westveer, Helen Westveer; special friend, Arnie Huizinga; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating.  Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, November 4, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Community CRC ~ Christian Education Memorial Fund.

 

  1. Im sorry I did not know your mom Dave, she must have been absolutely wonderful to produce such a wonderful God fearing son. You know your mom is happy in the arms of Jesus and reunited with your dad. Praise God. Sorry I cant be there to give you one of my famous hugs 🙂 praying for peace, Love You

  3. Sandy and family. Sorry we can not make it to the visitation. Knowing your mom goes back a long way and remember always being greeted by her sweet smile. She will be missed by all here but the glory she now lives gives you peace that is a comfort and joy. May God lift and surround you in the days ahead.
