Albert Lemcool, age 84 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Albert was a very hardworking man and struggled finding work due to his vision. Despite this obstacle, he took a job as a darkroom technician at Osteopathic Hospital processing X-ray film for 15 years. He served Al’s Snack Bar for 21 years and loved serving the community through sugary quick snacks and coffee. He was a huge supporter of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Blue Lake Public Radio, and FOP Lodge 97. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Ivan Lemcool; and son, Jimmy Lemcool. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Brenice Elaine; daughters, Julie Waite, Robin Lemcool, Lorrie and Ron Weinrich, Nola and Josh Runnels; grandchildren, Patrick and Xiomara, Ava and Jason Holifield, Jaxon, Elijah, Madelynn, Vivienne; great grandchildren, Mavis and Alexander; sisters, Ruthan Kiser, Rosemary and Phil Capen, Nancy and Tim Collard; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Albert will be held on Friday at 1:00pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00-1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Association for the Blind.
